Our Mission
Homeschool Teen Serve (HTS) is an organization of homeschooled teens committed to volunteer service projects benefitting local communities. It provides the life-changing opportunity to introduce junior and senior high teens to the joy of serving while opening their eyes to the needs of others in their community.
HTS students are challenged to serve individuals in the community in which they live in various ways while building relationships with one another based on their common goal of modeling what Jesus taught in Colossians 3.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.“
Colossians 3:23-24
As a member of HTS, each student gains practical work experience by participating in a wide variety of volunteer projects scheduled each month from September through May. These projects vary from month to month and include service to local churches and parachurch organizations; community organizations, food pantries, and missions; senior citizen living facilities and individuals with unique challenges due to age, single parenting, health issues, and other situations.
